TRACY – Services for William “Bill” Henry Roemer II, 77, of Tracy will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tracy United Methodist Church, with a visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. A private burial will be in Slayton Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Red Cross to benefit “Blood Services,” as Bill’s frequent and essential blood transfusions were only made possible by the generosity of blood donors.
He was born March 31, 1949, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Robert and Constance “Connie” (Havighurst) Roemer. He enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served his country while stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
He died peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at his home, while surrounded by his loving family after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Survivors include his life partner Koreen Ziemke; children, Sarah of Apple Valley, and Elizabeth “Liz” of Lauderdale; stepsons, Jonas Molitor of Slayton and Lucas Molitor of Tracy; seven grandchildren; siblings: Jim of Woodbury, Janet and Nancy, both of Richfield, and John of Minneapolis.
