GHENT–Mass of Christian Burial for Lawrence “Larry” DeSmet, 83, of Ghent, will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Minneota. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at the Remembrance Center. Interment will follow the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota. Larry died on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Sanford Hospice Foundation Cottage in Sioux Falls, SD.
