Victoria “Vicki” Dolan

Victoria Marie (Dobias) Dolan was born on March 25, 1937, in Milroy, MN, to Vencil and Frances (Brey) Dobias. She grew up in Milroy and graduated from Milroy High School. Vicki was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and received all of her Sacraments there. On January 4, 1958, she was united in marriage to Mark “Spike” Dolan at St. Michaels. The couple farmed and raised their family in rural Milroy. Vicki’s faith was very important to her. She taught her children to pray the rosary at a young age and she was very involved at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She belonged to the CCW and served as a Sacristan by preparing the sanctuary for mass and tending to the space.

In 1990, the couple moved from the farm to Milroy and in 2013, they moved to Heritage Pointe in Marshall. Vicki was very organized and maintained a tidy home. She was a loving mother and wife. Vicki helped her husband, Spike, for many years as his eyesight diminished. She always had an appetite for learning and became fluent with technology later in life. She also enjoyed art, poetry, playing cards and reading. Vicki especially enjoyed time spent with family including a special annual family gathering at the lake.

Vicki died on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her residence at Heritage Pointe in Marshall. She is survived by her children Donna (Darrel) Johnson of Hendricks, Rita (Mark) Vanderwerf of Alexandria, Tom (Julie) Dolan of Marshall and Dave (Linda) Dolan of Alexandria; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; siblings James Dobias of Columbus, OH, Dorothy (Dennis) Gagnier of Prescott, WI, Rosie Deutz of Marshall, sister-in-law Virginia Dobias of Farmington, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mark “Spike”, brother Lawrence Dobias and sister Marie (Ray) Coquyt , sister in law Kate Dobias and brother-in-law Pat Deutz.
