COTTONWOOD–Robert “Bob” Molstad was born on August 29, 1932, in Wabasso, MN, to Leo and Dorothy (Bergen) Molstad. He graduated from Cottonwood High School before enlisting in the United States Navy, serving his country valiantly until his honorable discharge from the service in 1960. Bob was also an active member of Living Word Lutheran Church and always enjoyed helping others. After retirement, Bob drove school bus for Lakeview schools and enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling with his wife Verdina, whom he met in May of 1970, and the pair were married several months later, making their home in Cottonwood. The couple spent 53 years together, seldom being away from one another, before Verdina’s passing at the age of 101 in 2023.
