Michael Watterson

REDWOOD FALLS — Services for Michael Watterson, 59, of Redwood Falls will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lower Sioux Rec Center. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday and continue until the time of services Saturday. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at his home.

He was born May 25 1966, to Charles and Lydia (Arredondo) Watterson in St. Paul. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS George Philip from 1985 to 1987, and joined the reserves until 1992 when he received his honorable discharge.

Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Mundell of Superior, Wisconsin, and Shaylee of Redwood Falls; one grandchild; mother, Lydia Conito of Lower Sioux; siblings, Chip of Redwood Falls, Juliet Rudie of Deerwood, and Antonia of Lower Sioux.
