LOWER SIOUX — Services for Hehaka Hotain Kit “Elk gave him the voice” AKA Vincent “Yuker” Lee Columbus Sr., 70, of the Lower Sioux Community will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lower Sioux Rec Center. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. today at the Rec Center with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Burial is in St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at his home, after an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 23, 1954, in Redwood Falls, to Thomas and Iola (Mireau) Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Lou Ann Columbus; sons, Vincent Columbus Jr and Joseph Columbus; stepchildren, Alison, Rick and Evelyn; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Lillian Wilson, Marilyn HisDay, Christopher “Gus,” and Melissa Chee.
