Visitation will continue on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church. Interment will follow the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota.

Steven Michael Przymus was born on March 10, 1965, in Canby, MN, to Bernard Sr. and Ruth (Kamrath) Przymus. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith, and for most of his life, he lived and worked in the Minneota area.

Steve attended Minneota Public School, graduating from Minneota High School in 1983. He was very passionate about sports and was an outstanding athlete. While he was a strong competitor in wrestling and basketball early on, Steve especially excelled in football and baseball throughout high school.

On April 13, 1985, Steve was united in marriage to Ann DeCock. Two children — Heather and Brett — were born to this union. Steve worked at Dalager’s during his high school years. He then worked for a handful of years at PPG Industries in Marshall. After working for Thompson Construction for several years, he transitioned to working as an independent handyman for the rest of his life. He was quite talented and could paint, build, or remodel just about anything.

Steve continued to be a top-notch competitor as an adult, whether it was on the golf course or the softball field. He thoroughly loved golf and was a longtime member of Countryside Golf Club in Minneota, among other local golf clubs. Steve was also extremely active in adult softball leagues in Marshall and oftentimes anchored superior teams in various tournaments around the area.

Recently, Steve was among other members of the 1985 football team to be inducted into the 2025 Minneota Viking Hall of Fame. He served as an assistant coach on that team 40 years ago — the first Minneota football team to reach the state tournament. Steve was always competitive but he was a good sport, too. He also had a great sense of humor and was a bit of a prankster. But perhaps most memorable of all was his big smile and infectious laugh.

Later in life, Steve enjoyed playing cards, bocce ball, and pool, while continuing to be passionate about golf. He loved visiting with and being around people, and he came to really appreciate time spent with family, especially his four grandchildren: Quentin Gilbertson, Lin Gilbertson, Charlotte Przymus and Lewis Przymus.

Steve died at the age of 60 on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Minneota, MN, after a very short but courageous battle with cancer. He was under the care of Avera @ Home Hospice.

He is survived by daughter Heather (Nicholas) Gilbertson of Lakeville and son Brett Przymus of Sartell; brothers John (Kathy Tykwinski) Przymus of Milaca, Paul (Fran) Przymus of Princeton, IN, Dick (Patty) Przymus of Gaylord, Bob (Julie Parulski) Przymus of Ivanhoe and Bernie (Jenny Kirk) Przymus of Balaton; sister Nancy (Jim Benz) Przymus of Minneapolis; former wife
