Patrick Steven Remiger was born on November 9, 1981, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the son of Steve and Jane (Blomquist) Remiger. Pat was baptized as an infant and confirmed in his youth at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls, Minnesota. He attended school at Yellow Medicine East and graduated with the class of 2000. He went on to further his education at North Dakota State University. He was an active member of Farmhouse Fraternity and graduated in 2004. While in North Dakota he met the love of his life, Ms. Rebecca Weinlaeder.

Pat and Becky were united in marriage on January 1, 2005, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Posen Township. The couple made their home between Wood Lake and Hanley Falls and were proud to care for the land and animals on their farm. They raised three children together and shared 20 years of marriage prior to his tragic accident.

Pat was proud to be a dairy and beef farmer. He was incredibly punctual, reliable, had an unmatched work ethic, and could fix anything that would break down. Pat truly enjoyed working alongside family every day.

Pat genuinely cared for and invested in other people, particularly his children. He was a devoted family man who loved his kids and made time to be with them – at times on the ice watching them trying to catch fish, usually unsuccessfully. Pat made time to attend many cross-country and track meets and other events that his family participated in. His service to others and his commitment to his strong faith were apparent as he chaperoned youth gatherings with his church and served as a long-time church elder. He was often described as the first one to help those in need, which was clearly displayed in his 20 years of service on the Wood Lake Fire Department and as board member for the local grain elevator. Pat fondly recalled family travel adventures (some of which he was dragged along with) and used his creativity in the ongoing NDSU/SDSU sibling rivalry.

Gone too soon, Pat Remiger died on September 26, 2025. He reached the age of 43 years, 10 months, and 17 days. Blessed be his memory.

He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Remiger of Wood Lake; children, Cole Remiger, Tate Remiger, Shelby Remiger; parents, Steve & Jane Remiger of Wood Lake; sister, Hope (and Michael) Mammele of Dawson; father-in-law, Ken (and Bonnie) Weinlaeder of Apache Junction, AZ; sisters-in-law, Jennifer (and Charlie) Goetzman of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kristen (and Jason) Beech of Cedar Rapids, IA; nieces and nephews, Ethan (and Madison) Beech, Gavin Beech, Thanh Beech, Kara Mammele, Lauren Mammele; other relatives and many friends.
