On September 23, 1960, Pamela Ann (Yearous) Chandler entered the world in Tyler, MN much to the delight of her parents, Delmar Vern Yearous and Virginia Beth (Mortland) Yearous. Pam was baptized into the United Methodist faith. As she grew, she was blessed with two younger sisters and a younger brother; all of whom she both loved and perfected her eye roll on.

Pam began her life living in Balaton, MN and then her parents moved to Marshall, MN; Minneota, MN and Tyler, MN before moving back to Balaton when she was in the 4th grade. Pam developed a love for learning (she was the one to partner with playing Trivial Pursuit) and could often be found reading instead of doing her chores. Her high school career included playing flute in the band, choir and managing the football team. Even with a busy schedule, she found time to meet and marry a guy named Brian Chandler on August 18, 1978. Together they had five children; Amanda, Allen, Adam, Allison and Andrew (AJ); also known as the “A Team”. When the children were young she did daycare in their home (because five kids weren’t enough) and loved every minute of being surrounded by children. When their youngest entered school, Pam got a job as a paraprofessional at the school so she could be surrounded by even more kids.Eventually she decided she wanted to try working with adults and took a job at US Bank in Marshall.

As Pam got older, she battled several chronic health problems. She met these challenges with grace and a strength that was inspiring to watch. She was determined to maintain her independence; some might even say she was “a bit stubborn”, but she lived her life on her terms. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. Taylor, Alex and Matthew Maher; Nalani and Coral Bausman and Grayson Chandler. She had become famous for her “Grandma Camp” every summer.

Pam went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 16, 2025, surrounded by her family at Sanford Heart Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.

Pam is survived by her husband, Brian Chandler, Children, Amanda (Chris) Maher, Allen (Meigan Bausman) Chandler, Adam Chandler, Allison Chandler and AJ (Julia) Chandler. Grandchildren, Taylor (Levi Curtis) Maher, Alex Maher, Matthew Maher, Nalani Bausman, Coral Bausman and Grayson Chandler. Mother, Virginia Yearous; Sisters, Peggy (David) Bundy and Penni Jandl. Mother-in-law, Betty Chandler. Brothers-in-law, Steve (Sharon) Chandler, Brad (Stacy) Chandler, Joel Chandler and Jayme Chandler. Sisters-in-law, Collette (Bob) Reiners and Cheryl (Bob) Kack and many, many nieces and nephews. Pam was greeted in Heaven by her Father, Delmar Yearous, Brother, John Yearous, Nephew, Cody Bundy, Father-in-law, Lester Chandler, favorite cousin, Leah Carlson and all the Grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, gifts can be sent to Allen Chandler, 44909 East Goodrich St., Rushford, MN. 55971

Blessed be her memory.
