Kelly Jones
MARSHALL–Kelly Jones, age 64, of Marshall, Minnesota, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center. Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall, Minnesota. Following interment at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, a reception will be held back at the church, in Carlin Hall. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her celebration, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, also at the church. An online guestbook is available at www.hamiltonfh.com.
Kelly Hentges was born on April 12, 1961, in Marshall, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Robert and Barbara (Nefstead) Hentges. Kelly grew up in Marshall and attended school there, graduating with the high school class of 1979. She worked for a few years before meeting her first husband, getting married and starting a family. During her first marriage, Kelly focused on raising her four children after settling in Oklahoma. She relocated back to Marshall, Minnesota in 1992.
Kelly was united in marriage to Edward Dehning on February 14, 2003, after being together for many years. They created a blended family of six children, four from Kelly and two from Ed. They made their home in Marshall. Kelly began working in the office for the Schwan Food Company, where she spent over 20 years. Kelly and Ed relocated to Florida where Kelly was employed with the State of Florida for a couple of years until health issues forced an early retirement. Kelly and Ed returned to their home in Marshall shortly after.
Kelly was fiercely devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her enjoyments in life included cooking, vacationing and visiting over a strong cup of coffee. Kelly will be remembered for her laugh, great sense of humor and her ability to connect with and care for others.
Kelly Jones passed away on October 15, 2025, in Marshall, Minnesota surrounded by family. She reached the age of 64 years, 6 months, and 3 days. Blessed and eternal be her memory.
She is survived by her Husband, Ed Dehning; 6 children, Cory Jones of Marshall, Adrian Jones (and Nicole Anspach) of Gainesville, FL, Eden Jones of Minneapolis, Cheyenne Jones (and David Gerico Davis) of Sioux Falls, SD, Liz Dehning (and Ryan Snyder) of Worthington, Shanna Dehning of Plainview, TX; 9 grandchildren, Alexus Jones, Ava Jones, Koa Davis, Kian Davis, Mason Snyder, Maiya Snyder, Ayden Birgholtz, Elijah Dehning, River Duran; siblings, Brian Hentges of Marshall, Karen Baumgartner of Sioux Falls, SD; nephew, Robert Hentges of Redwood Falls; niece, Kayla Baumgartner of Sioux Falls, SD; other relatives and many friends.
Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, Bob & Barbara Hentges.
