Reed was born in Canby, MN, to Douglas and Margaret (Schomacker) Frazeur. He grew up on the family farm north of town alongside his sisters, Greta, Lisa, and Karen. From a young age, Reed developed a love for sports, hard work, and faith–values that would guide his life and shape the man he became.

Reed loved Jesus deeply and loved his family and friends with his whole heart. His life reflected his faith in every way, and he leaves behind a legacy of devotion, service, and joy.

On May 25, 2002, Reed married the love of his life, Danielle. Together they built a marriage rooted in faith, love, and partnership. Their family grew in 2012 with the birth of their son, Tate, and was joyfully completed in 2019 when AshleeAnn and Nathan joined them, making their family of five complete.

Born with a gift for connecting with people, Reed was a natural encourager, mentor, and coach. After marrying Danielle, they first made their home in Monticello, MN, where Reed taught students how to drive and worked for an armored car company. During this time, Reed was introduced to his mentor, Tyler McCart, who guided him to become a born-again Christian. At Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park, Reed was re-baptized as an adult, and this set his heart on fire for Jesus. From then on, he studied his Bible daily and walked faithfully alongside others, offering encouragement, guidance, and the hope of Christ.

In 2007, Reed and Danielle moved back to Canby, where Reed partnered with his father on Frazeur Farms and became co-owner of A New Leaf. He quickly became a vital part of the community, serving in Canby Rotary and as a past president of the Blue & Gold Foundation. He also invested countless hours into the Canby Lancer Basketball program, coaching boys for one year and girls for 15 years. As a player’s coach, he was known for teaching not only skills but also life lessons–and for sharing his unforgettable pirate jokes.

Reed’s greatest passion was serving the Lord through Antelope Hills Christian Church, where he faithfully served as an elder until the day he passed. He poured his heart into leading the building committee, helping bring the vision of a new church facility to life–a place where others could encounter Jesus. When the church was without a pastor, Reed often stepped forward to share God’s Word, offering opportunities for baptism and pointing others to salvation in Christ. He never tired of reminding people that while we are all sinners, Jesus died for us, and in Him we have eternal hope. He also taught Sunday School, encouraging others to love as Jesus loved, stand firm in God’s Word, and live with faith and courage.

Reed’s love for sports was a defining thread in his life, and he passed that passion on to his children. From the time Tate was little, Reed encouraged him in running, basketball, and especially baseball, the game they both cherished deeply. When AshleeAnn and Nathan joined the family, Reed embraced his role as a father of three with joy–coaching AshleeAnn in basketball, cheering Nathan on in football and wrestling, and always striving to lead by example.

Reed often described Danielle as his Proverbs 31 wife and his God-given helpmate (Genesis 2:18). He sought to be a blessing to everyone he met, leaving behind a testimony of faith, love, and service that will live on in the lives he touched.

Holding Reed in their hearts are his beloved wife Danielle, their children AshleeAnn, Nathan and Tate, his parents Douglas and Margaret Frazeur, and his sisters Greta (Michael) Cina- Solomon & Abraham, Lisa (Kevin) Peterson -Jack & Val and Karen Parsley. Though his earthly journey ended too soon, Reed’s eternal hope is fulfilled, and his family takes comfort in knowing he now rests in the arms of Jesus.
