Helen Peterson

TRACY — Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Irene (Toupal) Peterson, 96, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tracy. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the rosary at 9:15 a.m. Burial will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tracy. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

She died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at home in Tracy, surrounded by family.

She was born March 31, 1929, on a farm near Kimball, S.D., to Anton and Christina (Sluka) Toupal.

Survivors include her children, Patricia Fogelson of Currie, Vickie Unger of St. Ann, Missouri, Tony of Tracy, Thomas of Crest Hill, Illinois, Timothy of Sioux Falls, S.D, and Terry of Tracy; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
