WALNUT GROVE — Services for Geneva Marie Kolar, 85 of Walnut Grove will be at 11 a.m. today at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial is in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

She died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center.

She was born Sept. 17, 1940, in Minneapolis, to Walter and Bernice (Sayre) Nissel.

Survivors include her children, Rocky of Westbrook, Robert Jr. of N.D., Twyla Cady of Montrose, Jon “Ernie” of Mankato, Mary Corlett of Brookings, Lynae Bakken of Westbrook, and Gene of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; 39 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; brother, Sonny Nissel.
