Jean Edith (Harmes) Minnick

MONTICELLO–Jean Edith (Harmes) Minnick was born March 25th, 1932, on route to Tracy Minnesota Hospital. She lived & attended Lynd Public Schools in Lynd, MN. In 1951 she was united in Marriage to Maynard Minnick. They lived in Rhode Island and had their 1st child while Maynard served in the U.S. Navy. They moved back to Marshall and were blessed with 3 more children.

Jean worked for the Marshall Public Schools as a Matron in the laundry department of the middle school. They both retired in 1986, and in 1988, moved to Glendale, AZ. In 1993 they moved to Brooklyn Center, MN. In 1999 they moved to Monticello, MN. Jean enjoyed hosting coffee parties, dining out, but most of allshopping.

Jean Edith Minnick passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Friday July 11th, 2025, at home, in Monticello. She is survived by her children: Stephen Minnick, Susan Minnick, and Mark (Deidre) Minnick; grandchildren: Michelle, Megan, Andrea, Shayne, and Jeremy; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Maynard; son Michael; parents James and Cecelia Harmes; brother Melvin Harmes; and sister Kathrine (Harmes) Morgan.

Memorial Service: Friday July 25, 2025, Visitation 1:00 pm, Service 1:30 p.m., Cremation Society of Minnesota 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN; Private Interment (later)
