Doris Camila (Thieren) Gregoire

COTTONWOOD–Doris Camila (Thieren) Gregoire of Boulder Estates, originally of Cottonwood, Minnesota, passed away at the age of 95 on June 21, 2025, at the Avera Medical Center in Marshall. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cottonwood. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A reception will then take place, back at the church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her celebration, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, also at the church. Doris, the daughter of Maurice and Anna (VandenDries) Thieren was born on October 2, 1929, in Tracy. She was baptized, received her first communion and confirmation at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy.

On November 9, 1950, Doris married Henry (Bud) Gregoire Jr. at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. They actively farmed on the family farm near Hanley Falls until 1992 and then moved to Cottonwood. In 2018, she moved to Boulder Estates in Marshall where she enjoyed the activities provided there.

Doris was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cottonwood. She kept active throughout her life watching grandchildren, playing cards, baking, gardening, and visiting.

Doris is survived by her children, Tom (Amy) Gregoire, Anna Hawkinson, Susan (Greg) Gniffke, Carolyn (Kim) Runholt, Steven (Gail) Gregoire, Colleen (Dan) Nath, and Dan (Lisa) Gregoire; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Bradley; parents; brothers, Hank and Frank; and a sister, Margaret.
