Frank A. Peppersack

PARKERS PRAIRIE–Frank A. Peppersack, age 90, of Parkers Prairie, died on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m., on Friday, May 30, 2025, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. Interment will take place at the church cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by the Minnesota Honor Guard, and the Veteran’s Memorial Honor Guard. The visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.

Frank Anthony Peppersack was born on March 15, 1935, to Frank and Anna (Eilen) Peppersack in Russell, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Frank attended country school near Milroy and completed his public education in Milroy. He entered the U.S. Army and served in Korea for 18 months before his honorable discharge. He returned home and farmed with his family in the Milroy area. Frank was united in marriage to Katherine Pitzl on May 3, 1958, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Morgan. Following their marriage, they were blessed with seven children. They continued to farm in Milroy until they purchased a farm and moved to Miltona in the fall of 1979. He was a life-long farmer, and although they purchased a home in Parkers Prairie in 2007, Frank continued to farm until the fall of 2024. He and his wife moved into McCornell Courts in January of 2025. Frank was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. He enjoyed trapping, ice fishing and hunting, especially in his younger years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edwin; seven sisters, Margaret, Helen, Irene, Mary, Genevieve, Loretta, and Alice; and son-in-law, Steve Velde.

Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years, Katherine; two sons, Alan (Darcy) Peppersack of Parkers Prairie and David (Stephanie) Peppersack of Miltona; five daughters, Leah Clark of St. Michael, Maria (Steve) Haugen of Osakis, Patti (Randy) Twardowski of Eagle Bend, Gini Velde of Salem, Oregon, and Diana (significant other, Dustin Uhden) Peppersack of Nelson; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

The pallbearers are his grandsons, Ryan Peppersack, Shawn Gums, Jamie Eilen, John Twardowski, Andrew Velde, Eric Peery, and Kevin Peery. Honorary pallbearers are his remaining grandchildren.
