Robert Sorensen

LAKE WILSON — Services for Robert Lee Sorensen, 75, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson. Burial is at Ruthton City Cemetery in Ruthton. Military honors accorded by the Lake Wilson American Legion Post. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church Wednesday. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.

He died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans’ Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

He was born Feb. 6, 1949, in Tyler, to Wayne and Lyla Myran Sorensen. On March 19, 1971, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam as a paratrooper. He was honorably discharged May 22, 1974.

Survivors include his four children, Beth Nix of Pipestone, Rachel Nelson of Lynn, Robbie of Watertown, S.D., and Sarah Bohn of Watertown, S.D.; eight grandchildren; five siblings, Jean Ebert of Colorado, Floyd of Colorado, Marlene of Canada, and Chuck of Canada.
