Donald Ewing

BALATON — Services for Donald Jerome Ewing, Sr., 81, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at United Methodist Church in Balaton. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at the church, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Balaton at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died peacefully Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Tracy.

He was born Aug. 8, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles and Norma (Ouverson) Ewing. He enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Great Falls, Montana.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Balaton; daughters, Joyce Cota of Tempe, Arizona, and Tammy Johnson of Balaton; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lucy Moren.
