SLAYTON — Services for Barbara Jean (Luft) Surprenant, will be held at IHM Catholic Church Currie, at 10:30 a.m., with burial at Calvary Cemetery Currie.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at IHM Catholic Church in Currie and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born on July 29, 1941, in Currie to Alfred and Viola (Boudreau) Luft.

She died on March 29, 2024.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Surprenant of Slayton, three children, Lucy Ambs of Westminster, MD, Scott of Sleepy Eye, and Christy Riley of Brewster. She is also survived by three siblings, Linda Hodapp of Mankato, Richard Luft of Currie, and Sharon Bassett of Currie. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant siblings.
