Cletus Beranek

WABASSO — Mass of Christian Burial for Cletus George Beranek, 78 of Wabasso, formerly of Wanda, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the church, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Burial will be in the St. Anne Catholic Cemetery rural Wabasso. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, surrounded by family at his home, after a battle with cancer.

He was born April 28, 1945, to Clem and Dorothy (Rohlik) Beranek in Redwood Falls. He served in the Army National Guard from 1966-1972.

Survivors include his wife, Barb; children, Carrie Bliss of Wabasso, Chad of Wanda and Jeff of Jackson; seven grandchildren; siblings, Galen, Sandy Ladwig, Dona Anderson and Mae Paluck.
