Lon Halvorson

REDWOOD FALLS — Visitation for Lon “Lonnie” Alan Halvorson, 67, of Redwood Falls will be from 3-6 p.m. Thursday at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with a prayer service at 6 p.m. A Celebration of Life to follow the visitation at the American Legion. Stephens Funeral Service-Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 20, 2024, at his home, of natural causes.

He was born May 17, 1956, to Leonard and Rita (Armagost) Halvorson in Lamberton.

Survivors include his wife, Lorna; children, Shannon Merringer of Tracy, Angel Weber of Sanborn, Rachael Slater of Coon Rapids, Travis of Bemidji and Emelita of Redwood Falls; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry of Redwood Falls, Mike of Sanborn, Nancy of Lamberton, Jim of Owatonna, and Tom of Jeffers.
