She attended Balaton public schools and graduated from Balaton Senior High School in the spring of 1963. Upon graduation she continued her education at Worthington Junior College and attained a secretarial certificate.

While going to high school in Balaton, Judy met and fell in love with Reuben Wee. The couple was married on October 9, 1965, at Lake Sarah Lutheran Church in Garvin, MN. Judy’s family and faith were the most important things in her life. She enjoyed cooking for her family, and finding reasons to get everyone together. There would often be games of 500 and Pinochle played at gatherings with family and friends. Reuben and Judy were longtime members of the Current Lake Card Club. Judy was an avid reader and loved to study genealogy. She enjoyed traveling to different cemeteries to find out more about her relatives lives.
