Gary Hindt

WABASSO — Services for Gary Lee Hindt, 78, of Wabasso will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wabasso High School Activities Center. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the school. There will be an open mic for anyone that would like to share a short story about Gary from 7-8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Thursday. Burial is in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Wabasso. Stephens Funeral Service-Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer.

He was born Sept. 30, 1945, in Slayton, to George and Josephine (Virt) Hindt.

Survivors include his wife, Jenni; daughters, Heather Arntson of Moorhead and Erika Huber of Huron, S.D.; eight grandchildren; siblings, Marian Lentz of Slayton, Helen Vogel of Slayton, Rose Knutson of Redwood Falls, Lloyd of Iona, and Carol Kuhl of Ontario, California.
