MARSHALL — Elmer Johnson, 75, of Marshall died peacefully Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.

Elmer LeeRoy Johnson was born Feb. 17, 1948, to Clarence and Edith (Baily) Johnson in Marshall. He was baptized as an infant and attended Marshall Schools, graduating with the class of 1967.

Elmer resided in Marshall his entire life and worked as a janitor for area industrial businesses. In his free time, Elmer found joy in fishing.

He is survived by his sister, Lilly Leach of Marshall, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Elmer is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edith Johnson; 3 sisters, Ada, Kelva, Lucille; and a brother, Clarence “Sonny.”
