MARSHALL -- Memorial Mass for Denis Matthys, 90, of Marshall, formerly of Cottonwood, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 14, at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Following burial at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marhsall, a reception for attendees will be held back at Holy Redeemer's Carlin Hall. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. The evening will begin with a rosary at 4 p.m. and will conclude with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will then continue one hour prior to the service, from 9:30-10:30 p.m. Friday, at the church. He died peacefully Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.
