Terry Schmidt

NEW LONDON — Services for Terry L. Schmidt, 75, of New London, formerly of Redwood Falls and Milroy, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 22. Burial will be at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died suddenly Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, of a heart attack at Carris Health Rice Hospital in Willmar.

He was born June 13, 1946, to Frank and Theresa (Stattelman) Schmidt in Tracy. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on Jan. 6, 1966. He served as a jet mechanic in Vietnam and he was discharged as a Staff Sergeant on May 28, 1969.

Survivors include his wife, Jick; children, Tammy Hanson of Sioux Falls, S.D., Jarrod of New London, and Amanda of Redwood Falls; five grandchildren; siblings, Pat DeBlieck of Park Rapids, Dick of San Antonio, Texas, Marge Bailey of San Francisco, California, Larry of Milroy, Bill of Redwood Falls and Jackie Lee of Bulverde, Texas.
