SLAYTON — Peter “Pete” Henry Schreier was born on Jan. 18, 1927, on the family farm in Lime Lake Township, Murray County, to Peter and Alice Beach Schreier Sr.

Due to failing health Pete moved to the Pipestone County Hospice in January 2021 and passed away there on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Schreier of Slayton, his five children Michael Schreier of Avoca, Raynatta of Lake Norden, SD, Charlene Wegener of Owatonna, Julie of Lake Benton, and Pam Kohrs of Rochester, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren. In an effort to keep everyone safe a private family service will be held at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton Saturday, March 6, 2021 Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.
