Daniel Paul Peach was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 23, 1950 to Rinhardt John and Leona Marie (Shepherd) Peach. A Celebration Service of Dan's life will be held at City Hill Church, Eden Prairie, MN on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at 2 p.m. Interment will be held spring of 2021 at Memorial Hill Cemetery, Lake Benton, MN.
Dan attended schools in Minneapolis and graduated in 1968 from South High School where he was the field goal and place kicker for the football team. He attended Southwest State College in Marshall, MN for a year, and became a member of a group of evangelistic college students who loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Him too. Dan was one of the founding members of Church on the Hill in Lynd, MN (now known as Grace Life Church, Marshall, MN). These relationships from Church on the Hill were extremely important to him throughout his life. With his interest and talents for music Dan volunteered as the first music leader for Marshall Area Full Gospel Businessman's Fellowship.
On Sept. 25, 1971 he and Diane Bressler were married at the Church on the Hill. Dan enjoyed being a father. His daughter, Stephanie, was born in October of 1985. He was a bit nervous at first but caught on quickly. He taught Stephanie to love the Lord, gardening, mechanics, home repairs and his love of music. Music was always a large part of his life.
Dan held several jobs while living in Marshall including a partnership in ServiceMaster. After moving to Minneapolis, Dan was employed for 25 years at Cargill in Wayzata prior to retirement. He was also very business-minded and pursued many ventures throughout his life.
He was an avid student of the Bible. He was always looking for ways and people to share the good news of the Gospel. Several people have found the Savior due to Dan's sharing. Dan was an elder at his home church, Riverside Evangelical Free Church. He was a music leader and in charge of a home group for Bible study and prayer. The Lord led Dan, Diane and Stephanie to City Hill Church, Eden Prairie where they currently attend.
Pursuing his passion for learning throughout his life he took every opportunity to continue his education whether it be college credit, Bible study or workshops. He was most proud of his graduation from Charis Bible College, Minneapolis in May of 2016. Dan was also a participant of a mission trip with this college to the Dominican Republic. It was his intent to chaplain at a hospital or nursing home, and teach others about the Lord.
Dan went home to his Lord on Tues., Dec. 15, 2020. Christmas was definitely his favorite time of year, and we know he is excited to be celebrating with his Savior this year. He is survived by his wife, Diane of 49 years, daughter Stephanie and sister, Marie; 11 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, 18 nieces and nephews and their children. Also missing him are many old and new friends.
Going before him were his parents; grandparents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Joyce Bressler; several aunts and uncles; and nephew-in-law, Sergeant Kyle Osborn.
