Robert Thompson

SLAYTON — A private funeral service for Robert “Dusty” Dewain Thompson, 71, will be Monday at the Lakeside Baptist Church in Worthington. Burial will be at Slayton Memorial Gardens in Slayton. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements. Per MN Executive Order, masks will be required and social distancing and occupancy limits are to be followed.

He died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at Our House Hospice Home in Slayton.

He was born Feb. 2, 1949, in Forest City, Iowa, to Dorn and Jeanette Johnson Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl of Slayton; three children, Mitchell of Delray Beach, Florida, Jay of Currie, and Nicole Thompson of Slayton; three grandsons; four siblings, Violet Loeschen of Titonka, Iowa, Dennis of Thompson, Iowa, Doris Hatland of Lake Mills, Iowa, and DeEtta Buns of Wilmington, N.C.
