Kermit Olson

MARSHALL — Services for Kermit Bruce Olson will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Life Church in Marshall. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m.

Kermit Bruce Olson was born in Veblen, SD, in 1940 to Kenneth and Mary Olson. Kermit served in the military for three years as a medical recorder. He was married to Mary Jane Pobuda on May 25, 1963. He went on to car sales as a used car dealer until he bought the Ford garage in Canby in 1975. He enjoyed his family and friends; he lived to the end with great wit and a positive nature. He had five children, Sandy (Tom) Boudewyns of Mendota Heights, Kevin Olson of Minneapolis, Kelly (Bob) Deutz of Marshall, Steven (Lori) Olson of Buffalo and Paula Schooley (Jason Klein) of Waconia. Kermit has 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He is survived by siblings Robert (Shirley) Olson, Bonnie (Dale) Mumm and sister-in-law Judy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, brother Darrel Olson, and grandson Sam Schooley.
