Donald Anderson

SLAYTON — Services for Donald Anderson, 90, of Luverne, formerly of Slayton, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. A private burial is planned. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.

He died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne.

He was born Nov. 21, 1929, on the family farm in Skandia Township, Murray County, to Edwin and Anna Koch Anderson. On Sept. 29, 1951, He enlisted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on Sept. 4, 1953.

Survivors include his wife, Janet of Slayton; three children, Michelle Malmquist of Pequot Lakes, Donald Jr. of Plainfield, Illinois, and Randall of White Pigeon, Michigan; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard of Eagan, and Luverne of Champlin.
