Ronald Buysse

SPARTANBURG, S.D. — Services for Ronald Leo Buysse, 70, of 1230 Mt. Zion Road will be at 4 p.m. today at Covenant Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Visitation will be from 3-3:45 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the Gibbs Cancer Center, 101 E. Wood St., Spartanburg, SC 29303.

Ronald died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Ronald was born March 19, 1949, in Marshall to Leo and Marie (Vandandries) Buysse. He was the husband of Brenda Howard Buysse. Ronald was a United States Marine veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He attended Covenant Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina, was a retired employee with the United States Postal Service, and a member of the American Legion in Minnesota.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Buysse is survived by two grandsons; Dustin Close and his wife, Kayla; Nate Simmons; three great-grandchildren: Karter, Kameron and Kenna Close. Ronald is also survived by two sisters, Anne Lonneman, of Luverne, Marlene Desplinter, of Luverne; three brothers, John Buysse, of Granite Falls, Rick Buysse, of Luverne and Mike Buysse of Lizmore; a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Diane Close of Wellford, South Carolina.
