Avis Van de Braak

SLAYTON — Services for Avis Van de Braak, 97, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Slayton. Burial will be at Slayton Memorial Gardens in Slayton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Our House Hospice Home in Slayton.

She died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019.

She was born June 28, 1922, to Harry and Bertha (Thorson) Jacobson on the family farm in Leeds Township near Hadley.

Survivors include her children, Virginia Bruner, Harriet Braun, Patricia Reitsma and Mark; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
