MARSHALL — A Memorial Gathering of family and friends for Rhonda Christensen, 53, of Marshall will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall.

She died peacefully Saturday, July 6, 2019, with her children at her side, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.

Rhonda Jean Christensen was born Dec. 3, 1965, in Marshall, to Ronald and Margie (White) Christensen. She grew up in Lynd and graduated from the Marshall High School with the class of 1985.

Rhonda raised three children while working at REM and various other places in Marshall. She truly cared for other people and took pride in nurturing her clients. She could talk to anyone and was happy to carry on a conversation anywhere. Rhonda watched wrestling and Days of our Lives regularly, but days spent with her children, grandchildren, and dog, Lucky, was her favorite pastime.

Rhonda is survived by her three children, Jessica (and Jordan) Guetter of Marshall, Spenser Christensen (Jenn Buchholz) of Fulda, Chancey DeVos of Marshall; grandchildren, Gage and Grady Guetter of Marshall; step-mother, Kathy Christensen of Marshall; special friend, Craig Courtney of Minneota; nieces and nephews, Kari, Kyle, Gabi, Bella, Tylar, Derek, Jackson; siblings, Lori (and John) Kalinoski, Brian (and Mary) Christensen, Jenny Christensen, Joel (and Heather) Holmgren, Mike Holmgren, Dan (and Laura) Holmgren; puppy, Lucky; grandpup, Mia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Margie Christensen.
