TRACY — Services for Gary Dean Schaar, “Thunder,” 78, of Lake Florida, formerly of Tracy, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held at a later date in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Walnut Grove. Memorials are preferred to Carris Health/Rice Hospice in Willmar or Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. He died Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Carris Health Care Center in Willmar.

He was born Feb. 8, 1940, to Arnold and Evelyn (Kolander) Schaar in Windom.

Survivors include his wife Barbara; children, Victoria Schaar of and Terry Schaar; five grandchildren; and sister, Linda Kosel.
