Linn Thompson
BLOOMINGTON — Services for Linda “Linn” Thompson, 64, of Bloomington will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 1979 Old Hudson Road, St. Paul with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation Society of Minnesota, 651-789-0404.
Linn died March 13, 2018.
Linn was born in Warroad and grew up in Marshall, graduating with the Class of ’71. Linn attended Southwest State University before moving to the Twin Cities. Linn brought joy and happiness to all she knew. She loved the outdoors, ATVing, ice fishing, and her beloved Vikings. Linn was a competitive athlete and softball was one of her favorite sports to play. Linn was proud of her Irish heritage and loved her land “up north.”
Linn and her wife Joni were together over 20 years and were able to marry in 2015. They enjoyed raising a family, traveling, and just being together.
Survived by loving wife, Joni Rivall; step-children, Jack, Amanda (Alex) and Sam; brothers Ken, Randy (Phylis), Wes (Deb), Scott and sisters Kelly (Mark), Sheri (Richard), and Lisa; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be very missed by her dog, Teddie.
Linn was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Violet Thompson; and her infant brothers, Mark and Gary.
