Clarence Haugen

CURRIE — Services for Clarence “Lindy” Haugen, 90, of Currie will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton Visitation will be at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton from 4-7 p.m. today and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be private. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.

He died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

He was born July 26, 1927, on the family farm near Tracy, to George and Christine Tusty Haugen. He served in the Minnesota National Guards.

Survivors include his wife, Clarice of Currie; six children, Linda Tordsen of Sauk Centre, Kathleen Peterson of Glenwood, Charles “Chuck” of Slayton, Pamela Haugen of Currie, Georgia Hanson of Springfield, and Abbie Stirn of Currie, 18 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris Cote of Slayton.
