David Larsen

LOWER SIOUX COMMUNITY — Services for David E. Larsen, “Hpu Hpu” (Dobbie) “Wahinkpe Ohitika” meaning Brave Arrow, 75, from CaK#sayapi (Lower Sioux Community) will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church Hall at the Lower Sioux Community. Burial is in St. Cornelia’s Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale after a brief illness.

He was born Dec. 3, 1941, in Pipestone, to David J. and Emmarica (Wabasha) Larsen. He served in the U.S. Navy as a radar operator from 1960-1964.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie; son, Scott; daughters, Teri, Becky and Barbie; stepson, Greg; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Curt; and sister, Lana.
