SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. — Services for V. Thomas Maxson, 77, were at USCG Station Bodega Bay.
He died Aug. 26, 2016, at home of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Marshall, to Vern and June Maxson. He joined the U.S. Navy to serve aboard the aircraft carriers USS Leyte and USS Independence as a corpsman.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; and one niece and four nephews.
