Summer 2020 brochure with educational and recreational opportunities is tentatively scheduled for release the week of May 26. Marshall Community Servicesí planning continues to prioritize the safety of our participants ñ with no offerings, or facilities, to be available prior to June 15. This continues to be a moving target. MCS appreciates and asks for everyoneís patience during this time of uncertainty.

Garden Plots are still available. The city of Marshall and Marshall Municipal Utilities provide garden plots for rent to residents. These are located near the Water Plant (adjacent to Southwest Coaches, Inc.) Cost is $40 per plot. Please call our office for a rental or with any questions. Only three plots remain for the summer.

Behind-the-Wheel Driver Education lessons are scheduled to resume Tuesday. MCS is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our instructors and students. As part of the reopening process, MCS has put together a COVID-19 Safety Plan for Behind-the-Wheel which will be available upon registration. Please contact our office with questions and for available lesson schedules. All students must show a valid permit prior to registering.

As the global effect of COVID-19 continues to evolve, these uncertain times require the City of Marshall to take thoughtful precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. As part of the effort to protect against the spread of COVID-19, our community BikeShare will NOT be available for the Summer of 2020.

Ice Arenas in the state have been granted approval to reopen as early as June 1. Guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health are being reviewed and will be implemented at the Red Baron Arena & Expo. A specific opening date will be communicated next week once ice is reinstalled.

The Adult Community Center remains closed to the public until further notice.

Boards and Blades Skatepark was closed this week until further notice because of users not practicing social distancing and vandalism.

All residents are encouraged to enjoy city parks, including Loyalty Dog Park, while practicing social distancing guidelines.
