The MCS winter/spring brochure has been released. Copies of the brochure are available in the MCS office.

n Marshall Middle School After School Program will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Jan. 3 at the Marshall Middle School from 3:05-5 p.m. Activities for students in grades 5-8 will include: activity room, indoor/outdoor sports, art, STEM activities, cooking, crafts, service learning and more. Snack will be provided. Fee: $40 per person.

n Learn to Skate Lessons will begin on Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Red Baron Arena & Expo. Lessons, available for preschool children and up, will be Saturday mornings through Feb. 23 (no class on Jan. 12, 19 and Feb. 2).

n Adult Skating 101 will be Saturdays (Jan. 5, 26, Feb. 9, 16 and 23) from 8:45-9:15 a.m. at the Red Baron Arena & Expo. Each session will be comprised of skill development to help you skate without support. Fee: $45 for the 1st skater and $35 for the 2nd skater.

n Girls Junior Basketball will meet on Saturday mornings from Jan. 5 through Feb. 9 at Park Side School. Preschool through 1st grade will meet from 9-9:45 a.m. Grades 2-3 will meet from 9:45-10:45 a.m. The first four Saturdays will be working on basics and developing basketball skills, and the final two Saturdays will be structured towards game play and competition. Fee: $35 per person.

n Boys Junior Basketball will meet on Saturday mornings from Jan. 5 through Feb. 9 at the Marshall Middle School. Preschool through 1st grade will meet from 8-8:45 a.m. or 8:45-9:30 a.m. Grades 2-3 will meet from 9:45-10:30 a.m. The first four Saturdays will be working on basics and developing basketball skills, and the final two Saturdays will be structured towards game play and competition. Fee: $35 per person.

n Open Softball for grades 7-12 will be Sundays from Jan. 6-March 3 at the Marshall Middle School. Sessions will last for 30 minutes each and will begin at 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Batting cages and pitching mounds will be available. Fee: $30 per person.

n Open Baseball will be Sundays from Jan. 6-March 10 at the Marshall Middle School (will not meet on Feb. 3). Grades 5-8 will meet from 4-5 p.m. Grades 9-12 will meet from 5-6 p.m. Batting cages and pitching mounds will be available. Fee: $30 per person.

n Reset and Renew will be from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at the Adult Community Center. Yin and restorative poses will be included, followed by yoga nidra for relaxation and intention setting. Fee: $15 per session.

n Junior Tiger Indoor Soccer Skills Camp will be Sundays (Jan. 6, 13, 20 and 27) in the Park Side School Gym. Grades K-2 will meet from 12:30-1:15 p.m., and grades 3-6 will meet from 1:15-2 p.m. Develop soccer skills with the MHS Girls Soccer coaches and players. Fee: $25 per person.

n MCS Small Group Gymnastics Lessons will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (January 8 – 24) in the Marshall High School Gymnastics Room. Ages 4-6 will meet from 6:15-6:45pm OR 6:45-7:15pm. Ages 7-12 will meet from 7:15-7:45pm OR 7:45-8:15pm. Smaller class sizes (6 gymnasts per session) will allow for more 1-on-1 instructor time, helping gymnasts meet their personal goals and develop skills of their interest. Fee: $50 per person.

n Gentle Yoga will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 8-Feb. 12 (Tuesdays) at the Adult Community Center. You will mostly be using seated postures to help you relax fully, get a long stretch, and focus on being rather than doing. Fee: $45 per session.

n Marshall Middle School After School Theater (for boys and girls in grades 5-8) will be in the Marshall Middle School Theater on Wednesdays (Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30, Feb. 6 and 20 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. AND on Feb. 13 from 3-5 p.m). Performances will be Thursday, Feb. 21 and Friday, Feb. 22. Fee: $40 per person.

n Adult Woodshop will be from 3:15-5:15 p.m. Thursdays (Jan. 10-May 2) at the Marshall High School. Area adults have the opportunity to use the MHS wood shop facility and its equipment under an experienced supervisor. Fee: $20 per person.

n MCS Youth Gymnastics Lessons will be Jan. 12, 19, Feb. 2, 9 and 16 (Saturday mornings) in the Marshall High School gymnastics room. Classes are open to boys and girls ages 3-12. Times and fees are based upon age and level.

n Tips, Tools and Techniques will be from 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 12, at Treasured Times (313 W. Main St.). You will create three different cards using both the basics and some new products. Fee: $15 per person.

n Kids Craft Hour (for grades 1-3) will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Treasured Times (313 W. Main St.). Students will create a special framed monogram using the Cricut machine, paint, buttons, flowers and more. Fee: $10 per person.

n Indoor Soccer Academy will be held on Wednesday evenings (Jan. 16-Feb. 20) in the Marshall Middle School gym. Grades K-2 will meet from 6-6:45 p.m., and grades 3-6 will meet from 7-8 p.m. This program will emphasize fair play, cooperation, sportsmanship, honesty, respect and fundamental skill development. Fee: $30 per person.

n ECFE – First Friends (for birth – 5 year olds with a parent) will be Jan. 16-May 15 (Wednesdays) from 8-9:30 a.m. or 10-11:30 a.m. in the ECFE classroom. Fee: $56 per family.

n ECFE – Young at Art (for birth – 5 year olds with a parent) will be Jan. 17-Feb. 21 (Thursdays) from 4:30-6 p.m. in the ECFE classroom. Fee: $24 per family.

n ECFE – Popular Parenting (for birth – 5 year olds with a parent) will be Jan. 18-May 17 (Fridays) from 10-11:30 a.m. in the ECFE classroom. Fee: $60 per family.

n Indoor Youth Futsal League will be Sunday evenings from Jan. 20 – March 3 in the Marshall Middle School Gym. This league, for boys and girls in grades 7-12, will give soccer players total advantage by developing improvisation, creativity and ball control that only comes from hard court soccer. Fee: $40 per person.

Snow Ball for Fathers and Daughters (listed on page 22) will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, in the Marshall Middle School Cafeteria.

Mother-Son Superhero Day (listed on page 22) will be from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in the Marshall Middle School Cafeteria.

Nuts About Nature for birth – 5 years (listed on page 23): This hands-on experience will have your adventurous preschooler excited about nature. Learn fun activities and games you can play as they begin to explore the outdoor world around them. For this activity class you and your child will remain together for the entire time. This class will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursdays (Feb. 28, March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4). The fee is $24.
