NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City Council for the City of Marshall, Minnesota, will be conducting a public hearing on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 5:30 P.M. in the Professional Development Room of the Marshall Middle School located at 401 South Saratoga Street, Marshall, Minnesota. The purpose of the public hearing will be to consider a request by the Sounds of Summer Committee for private use of public streets and parking lots including:
Entire Celebration: Closure of West College Drive from the corner
of Main Street and West College Drive to Saratoga Street, and also
Marvin Schwan Memorial Drive from West College Drive to South
1st Street on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to approximately
10:00 pm, and again on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 6:00 am to
Sunday, August 20, 2017 to approximately 3:00 a.m. to allow
adequate time for clean up after the Saturday evening activities.
Parade: Closure of Main Street (TH 59) from East Lyon Street to
North 6th Street and closure of East Lyon Street from the corner of
East Lyon and South Bruce Street to Jewett Street on Saturday,
August 20, 2017 starting at approximately 12:00 noon to approximately
5:00 pm.
All interested persons desiring to comment on the closure requests should appear at the above date and time.
