The Board of Education of Independent School District #413, Marshall Public Schools met for their regular meeting in the District Administration Office on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Chairman Chapman called the meeting to order and the roll call showed all members present except for Mulso and VanKeulen.
Presentations: Beth Ritter and Carolyn Fuller, Reading Specialist,
provided information to the board on the current literacy programs at Marshall Public Schools.
Tiger Spotlight: School Board Recognition Week February 20-24, 2017 and Bus Driver Appreciation Day - February 22, 2017
Board action was taken on approving: the consent agenda, board
minutes, grants/donations, personnel, field trip requests, policies, FY'18 budget parameters, 2016-2017 seniority list and approval of Community Services Advisory board members.
Discussion: was held regarding the April 18, 2017 referendum.

Superintendent Monson.
Board action was taken on approving: the Achievement and
Integration Budget and Plan for FY'18, personnel, and the Math Counts field trip request.
Discussion: was held regarding the April 18, 2017 referendum, second review of policies and the drafted 2017-2018 school calendar.
