The Board of Education of Independent School District #413, Marshall Public Schools met for their regular meeting in the District Administration Office on September 19, 2016. Vice-Chairman Coleman called the meeting to order and the roll call showed all members present except for Chapman.

Presentations: Oath of Office was recited by Student School Board Representatives Sameh Hedlin, Kevin Berg and Lyth Shahin. Allan Vogel, Pride in the Tiger Executive Director, introduced himself to the school board and Mark Brodersen of Taher, Inc. shared information with the board regarding the lunch program.

Discussion was held regarding: Enrollment update was shared by Superintendent Monson.

Board action was taken on approving: the consent agenda, board minutes, final reading of policies 301-306, Authorization Granting the Superintendent as the IOWA, Substitute Teacher Rate of Pay, Hiring of a Paraprofessional Position, a Field Trip Request, Personnel, Approval of the Bills, Nominations for Office of School Board Clerk, 2016-2017 School Board Goals, Certification of Preliminary Levy, 2017-2020

Superintendent Contract, and the Confidential Employees Association Master Agreement.

The Board of Education of Independent School District #413, Marshall Public Schools met for their work session meeting in the District

Administration Office on September 6, 2016. Chairman Chapman called the meeting to order and the roll call showed all members present.

Discussion was held regarding: Superintendent Monson gave an

enrollment update, the board discussed the 2016-2017 school board goals and there was a second reading of policies 301-306.

Board action was taken on approving: the resignation of board

member Curt Kovash, the 2016-2017 Superintendent Goals, the

approval to hire paraprofessionals and the approval of policies 206-214.
