Marshall man pleads guilty to wrongfully obtaining assistance charges

MARSHALL — A Marshall business owner pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court to three counts of wrongfully obtaining assistance, court records said. Thomas Scott Pearcy, 55, entered an Alford plea to three out of a total six charges against him. In an Alford plea, a defendant does not admit guilt of a crime, but does acknowledge that there would be enough evidence for a jury to find them guilty at a trial.
