Marshall pedestrian struck, injured by vehicle

MARSHALL -- A 76-year-old Marshall resident was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon, Marshall Police said. Marshall Public Safety Director Jim Marshall said the incident is under investigation, and there could be a report sent for consideration of charges.

The collision was reported at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Street and Main Street. A 2016 Chevy driven by a 51-year-old Marshall man was traveling northbound on South Fourth Street when it struck a pedestrian, Marshall said.

The pedestrian was transported to Avera Marshall Medical Center for medical care, Marshall said. More detail on the pedestrian's condition was not available Thursday, Marshall said.
