HANSKA -- A woman died Monday afternoon from injuries received after a falling tree limb struck her, said the Brown County Sheriff's Office.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office, the Hanska Fire Department and Alina Ambulance responded to a report of a woman struck in the head by a falling tree limb at 2:40 p.m. Monday on 112th Avenue, Linden Township, about 5 miles northeast of Hanska, the sheriff's office said.
At the scene, emergency responders began CPR and other life saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene because of her injuries, the Brown County Sheriff's Office said.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy on the woman to determine the cause and manner of death, the sheriff's office said.
The victim's identity is being withheld until family members have been notified and an autopsy is completed, the sheriff's office said.
