REDWOOD COUNTY -- A 48-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in Redwood County, the Redwood County Sheriff's Department said.
At 4:24 p.m. Saturday, the Redwood County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the intersection of County State Aid Highway 46 and County State Aid Highway 8 for the report of a single motorcycle crash. The Redwood County Sheriff's Department said that the driver, who was identified as Craig Michael Baune, lost control on the curve, went into the ditch where he hit a road sign. Baune was pronounced deceased on scene, the Redwood County Sheriff's Office said.
The sheriff's office was assisted by Minnesota State Patrol, Centra Care Ambulance, Vesta Fire Department, Vesta First Responders and the Wood Lake Fire Department.
