Three injured in Hwy 23/91 crash
RUSSELL — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and Minnesota Highway 91, the Minnesota State Patrol said. One of the three people injured was taken to Avera Marshall Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.
The crash was reported at 12:09 p.m. At the time of the crash, a 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by Margie F. Dwire, 73, of Mountain Lake, was traveling southbound on 170th Street, and a 2006 Honda Accord driven by Craig Allen Jacobson, 39, of Hanley Falls, was northbound on Highway 23. The two vehicles collided, the State Patrol said.
Jacobson and a passenger in the Honda, 59-year-old Dennis Chester Marshall, received non life-threatening injures but did not go to a hospital, the State Patrol said. Dwire was taken to Avera Marshall with non life-threatening injuries.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Russell Fire Department and Ambulance, and North Memorial Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
