Individual wanted in gunshot incident
MARSHALL — Marshall Police are still looking for a person in connection with an incident involving a gunshot at a Marshall hotel earlier this month, Marshall Public Safety Director Jim Marshall said.
Marshall said the incident is still under investigation, and he couldn’t share details of what happened. However, he said there was an active warrant for the arrest of Ed Lawrence Robert Tores, Jr..
Marshall said Tores’ photo and description were posted on the Marshall Police Department’s “Most Wanted” website. The post said Tores was wanted for a dangerous weapons charge, illegal discharge of a firearm, and second degree assault.
Marshall Police and the regional Emergency Response Unit were called to the 1500 block of East College Drive around 12:33 a.m. on Aug. 2 for an incident where a firearm was discharged in a hotel room. Police said no injuries were reported in the incident, and officers made contact with two females who were present in the hotel room when the gun was discharged.
